Mounts of Mayhem Update is Here
Get your horses, Nautilus, and Camels ready! The game-changing update has arrived.
Here are the most important additions, changes, and new features:
Key Features and Changes
Mount Improvements and New Armor
Netherite Horse Armor:
Crafting: Smithing Table + Diamond Horse Armor + Netherite Ingot + Netherite Upgrade.
Defense: Provides 19 armor points (the strongest available!).
Camel Husk:
Now spawns in the desert biome.
The correct hitbox has been fixed.
No longer dismounts passengers when entering water (mirroring the regular Camel behavior).
Nautilus and Zombie Nautilus
Coral Zombie Nautilus:
A new visual variant replacing the normal Zombie Nautilus in Warm Oceans.
Note: Functions identically to the normal Zombie Nautilus.
New: Using Shears on a Nautilus will now first remove its armor and then its saddle.
An Inventory Screen has been added to the Nautilus/Zombie Nautilus.
The Parched and Spearmen
Frost Resistance: The Parched now take freezing damage while in snow.
Immunity: The Parched will no longer be affected by the Weakness status effect.
Revenge: Creepers defeated by a Parched now drop a Music Disc.
The Spear
The Spear's lunge attack can now be used in Creative Mode regardless of hunger.
Zombies, Husks, Piglins, and Zombified Piglins wielding a Spear now properly charge and retreat while mounted.
Zombie Horse
Leashing: Zombie Horses can now be leashed when they are untamed, but not when mounted by a Zombie.
Visuals: The Zombie Horse's Spawn Egg now matches the color tint of the Zombie Horse.
Important Note: Zombie riders no longer look for a new mount after being dismounted.
Other Important Changes
Light Absorption in Water: Changed from 2 to 1 units to match the Java Edition.
Baby Jockeys: The types of mobs that Baby Zombie jockeys and Baby Husk jockeys can ride have been restricted (check the full changelog for details).
Bug Fixes
32 bugs have been fixed to improve your experience! Here are a few highlights:
Finally: Fixed an issue where remote player skins would sometimes change to a default skin when they moved in and out of render range.
Polite Piglins: Piglins will no longer scream with enthusiasm while admiring gold; they will instead do a courteous grunt of acknowledgement (just like on Java!).
Significant improvements to loading times when exiting worlds, using the /reload all command, and transferring between servers.
